A good end to the season

Today was the last school cricket match of the season, and Thomas' team won convincingly. They batted first, Thomas scoring a respectable 39 runs, with a total innings of 211 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. The opposition team were all out for 57 runs (their score on the board is wrong).

It was the end of the season so a team photo was called for - smiles all around as they were so pleased with themselves.

Tonight we are off to the school ball - I do hope this cold wind drops as my dress is sleeveless and I do not want to be shivering all night. I will have to be like the movie stars at Leicester Square - it always amazes me how in the middle of winter they turn up at a Movie Premiere in a little strapless number or something equally unsuitable and don't seem to be shivering at all. It must be a trick they learn in drama school - ah yes, it's called acting warm.
