A Committee Day Out

Across to Hoy for a meeting of the Friends of the Hoy Kirk. The new season of activities commences on 1st April.  Heard a lark singing; brave thing in the northern breeze.  A good display of coltsfoot at the top of Moaness Pier.

Onboard the ferry l had met my pal Wullie who l haven't see for some time.   A great update.  He reports that the Stromness Pierhead Parliament is far from happy about the way the owner of the Stromness Hotel has complained, in the press, about local folk and their lack of use the hotel.  The hotel used to be the  heart of activities in the toon.  Changed days.  Later, on the way back to HQ, we were invited along for a debriefing at chez Sutherland - they are achieving a high quality finish to their trim-up project.

Project B across in the Bolt Hole is making steady progress.

I'll be avoiding the M25 this weekend.
