Knights in shining armour

A day doing training at our regional Baptist headquarters - with the Baptist Union guy who works trying to improve our inclusion and racial diversity justice issues… he was very good - said his parents were from Nigeria but he struggles to say where he’s from despite growing up his whole life in UK - because he’s never felt fully welcomed or like he belongs as a British citizen. Interesting sessions on how we can lead churches that include those who are different from us.

Home to discover (when I decided to pry off our man hole cover whilst on FaceTime to Dad) that our drains are blocked… Dave and Chris came (even though I’d tried to say it wasn’t urgent and was more to see if they had suggestions of what to do - but I was very grateful!). They rodded the drain in both direction with two sets of drain rods connected to each other (25m!) to no avail! Even confused them! But they have in the meantime discovered something is broken in the downstairs loo and will fix it tomorrow.
