Elk Creek Metropark

Another very warm sunny day, and after the morning spent at home doing a few jobs, we went walking at a new location for us, Elk Creek Metropark, near Middletown in Butler County. We didn’t see many people out on the trail, other than a few fishermen at the ponds, but when we returned to the car park, there was a group of dog owners about to set out. As you can see from my collage, we were treated to the sight of a red-tailed hawk soaring overhead for several minutes, and several trees in full bud.
