Moving on.
Last night was the first real rain we have had since leaving home, and it continued this morning, but it didn't matter as it was time for us to leave Manitoulin Island, which incidentally is the latrgest freshwater island in the world, and head to our penultimate campsite just outside Parry Sound.
It's not the site we would have chosen, but since this is a long weekend holiday in Canada, lots of places including our first choice were fully booked. The site is very different again from the previous ones, and the access road is rough and muddy (well it rained here too!) but the view from our pitch as shown above is great.
We have already had a visit from the local chipmunk, and seen a humming bird at the feeder on the next but one site. This morning as we drove on one long straight stretch we saw a family of animals cross the road about 400 metres ahead - too far to identify and by the time we got there they had disappeared - our best guess is beavers, but we just don't really know.
