Cinnamon tea

I’ve always been a fan of service stations so to stop at a Vietnamese one was a real treat. No Starbucks or Costa here, but a series of stalls selling food, drinks, huge hunting knives, shoes made from car tyres, and bamboo pipes that I presume were for smoking grass.

I had a cinnamon tea, Rebecca had a fresh orange juice, and our driver had a coffee and a ciggie. We are half way to our destination of Sa Pa… the scenery is glorious and it’s about 30 degrees. Hopefully the good weather will still be with us when we reach the highlands :) The photo is of my new friend, Tong - we exchanged Facebook details and I sent her the picture!
