The forecast said it would be too wet and windy to cycle or walk (it lied) so we went to Cragside, the National Trust property that was once the home of William and Margaret Armstrong, the "ultimate power couple - together they shared a vision to create a vast garden with an impressive home at its heart".  It was certainly impressive, and delightful.
