Merriment on the Marsh

No idea what story Mike was telling, but it was obviously funny.

The planned outing of the day was to the Nature Reserve at Olhão because thought Felicity would enjoy the explanations of all the different sorts of life in the Ria Formosa - but it was closed - only open weekdays! Oh well, we walked round the 2.5km trail, and saw loads of flowers, birds, and maybe a million fiddler crabs. Plus loads of girl and boy scouts. And thousands of lupins - once I'd seen their wolf faces, got a bit creeped out by them all looking at me as we walked along.

Home now, awaiting Mike's GF pizzas, shortly to emerge from the oven. Paul is playing Mike's guitar, Felicity is doing word puzzles, Mike and I are blipping.

Gratefuls:
- Aeromar's good breakfast, looking out on the Ria, and Vina's friendliness
- two good books to read, from Deb and F's Mum, can't wait!
- a lovely, very late lunch at La Posada in Villablanca, with gorgeous hibiscus paper table mats, which we've brought home with us
