National Memorial Arboretum
After a short walk around the village and a little walk along the Trent & Mersey canal, we had a lovely breakfast in a quaint cafe in Alrewas.
We then went to the National Memorial Arboretum.I think it's our fourth visit and it's so vast that we still haven't seen all the memorials. (They continue to add new ones.)
The one I have chosen for my main Blip commemorates the RNLI which celebrates its 200th Anniversary this month.
The extras are the Armed Forces Memorial and that for the Parachute Regiment.
There are over 400 memorials dedicated to both military and civilian organisations. It's a place of Remembrance and Reflection and we never tire of it. We would highly recommend a visit.
