Returned
This was my mother's birthday present, posted at the beginning of January, returned safely to our home on 16 March. My mother's carer's, both Portuguese, tried to collect the parcel but their efforts with the online system failed. The official at the local post office told them that it was not worth trying to send parcels from the UK.
And that was borne out by our experience with sending parcels to friends in Germany for Christmas, something we have done for fifty years: the parcels arrived at the end of January, two months after posting them.
Parcels to my brother in Bulgaria take a little less time, surprising considering the fact that his local post office, a 12km walk from his home, is open for only two hours a week.
I have little doubt that this is a "benefit" of Brexit . . .
