Beacon

Sad news filtered through last night, our dear friend Robert has died, Finola and his son with him as he slipped away. We are heartbroken and devastated. We couldn't face any St Patrick shenanigans so went out into the wild and did the circuit major at the end of the peninsula - sunshine, massive bogs, fresh air and solitude. We thought of Robert - what a privilege to have known such a kind and generous man. 
Two images from a few weeks ago in the extras - a chance image someone took of the four of us on St Gobnait's Day, and a pic by me of the three of them, blooming miles from anywhere in a gale-force wind looking for rock art. Just as we liked it. We are going to miss him hugely but he certainly enriched our lives.
