Relentless

After some big storms washed across the picnic area along the shore the park came in and plowed the rocks back into a tall seawall. Where you were once able to park your car and look out to sea there was a berm of cobblestones over six feet high. Now, after a storm with significantly less power, those rocks have been washed away again. This time the whole area really does feel like it is simply part of the shoreline now, and I question whether there will be another attempt to reclaim it.

Walking along the new stretch of beach where the road used to be, my wife and I had to admit it wasn't all bad though. Am I really going to get too worked up about less space for cars to drive and park? We might very well enjoy the area more if less people make it a destination.
