Before Petering

The forecast showed some light towards sunset, so I left my excursion until later. As promised the clouds broke and sunshine streamed through. It was however very windy and the water choppy, which led me to take out a 10 stop filter.

At first I forgot my iso was set high and couldn't understand why my shutter speeds were so short. With that out of the way I settled on 20 seconds for this frame, giving me smooth water and streaky clouds.

I waited for half an hour, hoping the clouds would light up as the sun set, but sadly it petered out.
