Sunny Sunday
My day began at 02:15, not quite 4 hours sleep but I managed to stay in bed with minimal pain until 6. A cup of earl grey was enjoyed while chatting to auntie in the front room, watching the rain slowly clearing away to reveal a much awaited sky of blueness rarely seen of late.
Auntie was hungry and asked if I would get breakfast ready, her morning carer wouldn’t arrive for another hour and three quarters.
Fortunately just cereal and a banana were sufficient, meds administered and I then prepared myself a couple of poached eggs on toast.
My support staff arrived at 09:15 and a shower was enjoyed.
Cousin B and his wife S together with Marley dog arrived to assist auntie to chapel.
A lovely chicken dinner was served and gratefully received. I had a very gentle stroll in the warm ish sunshine before being
collected by L and accompanied her to a new to me church group. Extremely friendly and welcoming, a much younger congregation than the Methodist community I normally attend.
A light tea of Brie on sourdough topped with strawberry preserve slipped down nicely.
Auntie and I were both looking at our eyelids before 09:00 pm so up the wooden hill it was.
