March

March is a winter month.

We are looking in wonder at pictures of snowdrops and daffodils and orange trees drooping with fruit. Yet we are in the southwestern and the warmest corner of the country, the only area where the oak grows wild. The rest of the country is still under a cover of two feet of snow.

We import all fruit and grow tomatoes, cucumbers and salad in heated greenhouses lighted with electricity.  Everything within the same EU = European Union.
