Worth being untidy.

This is the drum I bang every year.
 It is well worth leaving the lavender untrimmed until the green shoots start to appear in early April. 
Goldfinches absolutely love the seeds at this time of year, even if the feeders are full of seeds that they usually flock to.
I know it looks a bit scruffy, but it is only when the rest of the garden can look a little dull, unless the garden is full of spring flowers.
