Sculling

There was a coastal sculling taster session on offer in Portobello for the local rowing clubs. Naturally, I signed up. I was on a twin and paired up with someone who had done it before. It should have made things easier but I felt that it didn't. I felt quite a lot of pressure. The rowing technique is totally different and I am not used to having two oars, having to cross them, as well as the feathering... The sculls are also very tippy and I really didn't like it.  I was glad afterwards to join a crew in our beautiful solid wooden boat for a good two our session, followed buy a drink and chat in the pub.
