St. Patrick's Day

Living in an area heavily populated by students guarenteed that St. Patrick's Day was going to make the day a rowdy one. 

Young people dressed in leprechaun hats, GAA shirts and green, white and orange flags passed by  our windows at all hours, usually with a drink in hand. Even in the morning, we could already tell some of the students were getting a little drunk. Loud and repetitive singing occurred seemingly every half hour and blaring music emenated from neighbouring flats before midday.

There was quite a police presence as we'd see many police officers wandering down the road and police cars were cruising the area. At one point a fire engine showed up, clearly that party must've got a little crazy.
