Unusual toaster accessory

This toaster came with our apartment in Florence, Italy. It’s kind of convenient to use the bread squeezers rather than tongs, though the bottom of the cage is somewhat narrow.

Easter here has brought out a variety of Easter goodies like this gold Lindt bunny. There are racks of them. We tried a colomba bread that’s a variation of panettone for Easter. Wonderful light texture with candied peel and almonds. Sweeter than panettone but oh so nice. We also tried pan co’Santi that’s a small dense loaf made with grapes and hazelnuts.
