Flying

Mrs PS was working today, so the kids and I had the day together. First stop swimming lesson, and then we were off to the beach.

Plans changed however after a friend called "like to go flying ...?". Of course! So out to Rangiora to the airfield and soon after we were winging our way north, to Hanmer Springs. Just a glorious day. Couldn't land as there is still too much snow, so we did a few circuits, nosed across into the mountains, and then headed home. Plus I got to fly for a little while ;-) As usual, the kids initial reaction was "we don't want to go" (can you believe that!) But by the time we had returned their tune had changed, they loved it.

Great day, and then photos and dinner with the same friends, discussing flying of course.
