Tales of the Unexpected

Spring seemed to arrive today, temperature shot up 7C > 12C weyhey !!

A bit of morning sorting out of garden tubs, then afternoon to St Bees for some "Papping" as Jess puts it. 
I wandered about looking for inspiration and got a few shots to review..

The journey home took an unexpected twist when a large Barn Owl raced me along the lane and perched on a fence post. I dived off the road, faffed/panic with camera (lucky 70-350 was already on the camera) and I managed to get 3 shots off before the owl became bored.. During the faff I should have reduced aperture but luckily ISO was auto so compensated somewhat. Lightroom tidied up the rest.

That became my blip but considering I went off to St Bees for some beach action I've added 3 images. Not sure which is my favourite but I'm leaning towards "Surfer in a Groyne Field"
