Drentse turf

A relative in the Netherlands occasionally sends me a copy of Boodschappen the house magazine of what used to be the Dutch Co-op.

There was a recipe feature of a typical dish from each NL province, so I had a go at Drentse turf as she lives in the Drenthe.

Google translated it as Drenthe Peat. Despite the name it is very tasty a sort of spice cake with raisins, walnuts, ginger and orange.
