Egyptian Paste

I did a biscuit firing over night and slipped these beads in while I remembered. OW and I made the paste as an experiment in the autumn. This material is self glazing and an approximation of what the ancient egyptians used for making some of the smaller cast ceramic items that were put in the pyramids. It's almost impossible to mold into shapes by hand. Beads were the best we could do. They are actually quite pretty and seem to be water proof. Nothing exploded in the kiln which is good. I have been a little hasty a few times in the past.
