Life is for living, loving and dancing!
Tonight I went to a disco specifically for adults with disabilities. I'm a carer and my Aunty as pictured in the photo with me has Down's syndrome.
I love these events, I find them so fun and worry free :)
I danced like no one was watching which at any other place I wouldn't.
I noticed something that I loved most tonight and that's that whenever the music starts everyone gets up and dances. No one has any reservations about it. Everyone seems to just want to have a good time and let loose. However bad the dancing no one cared.
No one made judgements or laughed at others.
There were no whispers or snide remarks.
People of all disabilities, race, gender, sexuality were dancing together. There's just no divides, no judging or discriminating.
I think the rest of the world could learn a lot from attending one of these events, I certainly do!
