Tuesday: Inventory

The boys left us this morning for a few days on the islands.  K drove them up to the airport from where they got a taxi to the water taxi.  We’ll be seeing them again before they leave, though, so that’s a pleasant thought.  They’ve been fun to have around.

The other excitement today was that I had to do an inventory of our official pictures.  The pictures in the official area are provided by the Government Art Collection.  Sadly, Belmopan doesn’t rank very highly when it comes to procuring attractive works of art.  It was hard to tell one beige and brown landscape from another………

If you’re really interested, I can tell you that the paintings are by household names, such as Beryl Sinclair, Elinor Bellingham-Smith and E.F. Jenkins.  We have two by Lawrence Toynbee so he must have been quite special.
