Anni's here for a visit!!!

And what a wonderful visit it was for us! As soon as we met last night, we felt at ease with each other, and today was one adventure after another.

It seems like Anni truly is a nature charmer, as one by one my birds and critters came out to meet her. We took a tour of the lake on our pontoon, and from the other side of the lake we saw movement ....our Captain Al skillfully and stealthily crept our boat closer and closer until we were next to the baby on the shore!!
This little one came out especially to see Anni, and wasn't the least bit afraid of us, even though we were clicking away like mad and talking as we hovered a few feet off shore.
Our resident blue heron made a couple of appearances, and there were dragons and damsels flittering around and even landing on Anni's hand!
We had a typical summer lunch, burgers on the grill, chips, corn on the cob, beans and fresh fruit...I think Anni enjoyed it and we sadly sent her on her way with some cookies to munch on the road to Canada.....

Anni is a great hugger, a great story-teller and an all around lovely person to be with!! Hope she puts Michigan on her itinerary again soon!!!! My squirrel will miss her as she was much more excited to see him than I ever am! Hahahahaha!

This evening we took flowers and hugs to the hospital to see Debbie...she looks great but feels very rough...no wonder! I can't thank you all enough for the wonderful thoughts sent her way...they worked!!!!
