Castello di San Salvatore
This was one of two castles, which determined our route today, the first being at Collalto, which lies mostly in ruins. This one is intact but private and not open to passing visitors. Impressive from the outside and beautiful within its surrounding lands, which host white donkeys, lambs, olive trees and vineyards. We walked on to Susegana before taking the bus to Conegliano.
After exploring a bit, we walked up to Conegliano Castle (second extra) which hosts the civic museum in the tower and a very fine viewpoint. This was the last trekking day. Tomorrow we transfer to Venice for a few days.
