An accident
The day before the Midsummer weekend there are always traffic accidents on the roads, and that was the day my cousin and I went up to the summer cottage. Lots of traffic and suddenly everything stopped. As you can see in the photo the road has only one lane were I'm standing and a railing that separates the lanes from each other. This railing is for security, but can be some what 'in the way' if accidents happens.
People were standing outside their cars, just taking it easy and talking. But then, on what looked like a given signal, everyone were getting inside their cars and moving them as close to the ditch as possible to leave space for firetrucks and ambulances that we knew were coming. And they did, sirens blaring and lights flashing.
After not to long we saw the ambulances moving away and coming back on the other side, driving fast with lights and siren towards the hospital. When traffic was moving again we saw that it was an motorcycle accident. The rest of the way traffic flowed and we didn't see any other accident, thankfully. My other cousin and her boyfriend got stuck for hours after another large traffic accident and came to the cottage late at night.
My cousin and I shared a toast for the people involved in the motorcycle accident, hoping they would be ok. I don't know what happened to them, but hopefully they made it.
