Turnstone Above Me
Today we went to see the Eastbourne Pier. Sadly the weather had become grey and dreary. Eastbourne was sad looking, with huge machinery working on the beach. We decided to have a cup of coffee further up the beach and move on. While we drank the coffee, with Jak playing happily, the turnstone ventured close. As we were low down on a beach shelf, it towered above me, which gave me a great shooting angle. So instead of beach scenes, I took plenty of bird shots.
We did move on, to Beachy Head, but high up on the cliff there was a thick fog (or was it low cloud?) and all we could do was walk (well away from the edge) and take a few shots of lone trees, bent double by years of the clifftop winds, in the swirling fog.
