Today was my sister's son's 9th birthday. Happy Birthday J! I woke early and so had he, so we sat together waiting for the rest of the family to wake so he could open a few presents. My sister rang from the hospital to wish him a happy birthday, which produced a big smile. Hopefully she will be able to return home today to celebrate with him.

Caught my train to Edinburgh and had a lot of thinking time. Too much probably. It may sound overly dramatic, but today every one of my 37 years sits heavily on me.
