Watermans arts centre: 40 years

Closing on the 11th April. Another spark of light in a darkening world extinguished by the fucking tories.

The unique building will be demolished and replaced by soulless, identikit, very expensive, flats, in which soulless, identikit people will live their shiny, empty lives. I expect there will be 'affordable units' which will not, in fact, be affordable. They will have separate entrances.

Sometime after 2050, as political disruption caused by global-warming deteriorates into a hot war, the flats will be destroyed along with the rest of London by a strategic nuclear weapon. Nobody will miss the people who lived in them
