Old friends & opportunities

Another beautiful day. Travelled to Stratford by train to meet Dany & Ange. We were school and work friends and had been inseparable for 30+ years, really until this last decade. I'd met up with D a couple of times latter part of last year and it was wonderful. Today was just like old times and I felt confident and relaxed. We sat for hours in The Real Greek talking parents, children, food, menopause, exercise and various other topics. It was a joy. Mooched a little before a last cuppa and home. 
Received an email from glass company and they'd taken the trouble to go into the warehouse and take photos of what might be suitable. Great service. I picked one which was discontinued and only one sheet left! I'm going to have to be really careful!!
I sat with the boys while they had their dinner and we chatted about FK's options and how he is finding school...he is very determined and feels he's had a kick up the backside and can turn it round. Good on him. MrK talked about work ... his new summer girl messaged to say she's not coming back...she didn't last a week!!
Fk returned from cadets with the opportunity of doing a group work experience at an RAF base, but it's in the last week of term. I've told him to plead his case with the head of 6th form, but I'm not convinced they'll allow it.
