Spuds
Riding past a big garage I heard a thundering noise coming out so naturally had to investigate. It seemed to be an industrial unit bagging up sacks of Canaries potatoes. Going in I could see a sorting machine which was grading the size of spuds down three separate chutes. Fascinating and there was a wonderful smell of new potatoes in the air.
Part of a ride towards mount Teide but turning off about a third of the way up. Some of the rest of the group carried on where we had heard it was snowing. They came back several hours later apparently chilled to the bone. I look forward to hearing their stories at dinner shortly.
As for me I did a repeat of the Tuesday ride. A beautiful loop in the company of John, stopping for lunch in a bar and coffee in a teashop.
The bike is now back at the shop. Home tomorrow. A brilliant week, albeit with mediocre weather. Didn't matter though and didnt stop us from getting out every day.
