Spring cleaning

Another day of getting the house organised. More windows, washing down paintwork, cleaning the kitchen floor, sorting out the cooker hood (who knew I had a removable metal filter?) and generally sorting out the kitchen. I put a small piece of brisket on to slow cook after breakfast with carrots and onions and we enjoyed half of it for dinner with mashed potato and stir fried cabbage in butter. Yum. I also made a vat of butternut squash soup with chilli and coconut for lunch tomorrow which is chilling in the fridge.

As the weather looked lovely first thing I stripped the bed and hung the sheets out on the line when they were washed. As I was upstairs washing the windows I realised the rain clouds had gathered so I had to rush outside and take the sheets in again.

Managed to get the ironing done this afternoon whilst Phin napped after his second walk with Mr PHL.
