Rembrandt self portrait at the Uffizi
On my third trip through the Uffizi Galleries, I tried to focus on artwork that made me take a second look. Not many got my attention out of many pieces. It was exhausting to see everything but it’s hard to pass anything by.
The self-portrait of Rembrandt caught my eye and I stood in front of the painting asking myself what was going through his mind at the time. What was he wanting to say through this painting? What kind of life was he living? Was he finding enough work? How was his work being viewed? What were his aspirations?
