Balanced

Calm and sunny today, there seemed to be lots of activity for a change. I photographed robins, house finch, blackbirds and a pied-billed grebe out on the lake, which I recall seeing last year as well.

I chose this image because of the blue sky reflected in the water contrasting with the fallen tree balanced on a couple of its branches. It's sculptural and massive and precarious and weighty.
