Pepino

Today I visited Carmen's widower.
We chatted and he offered me some plants, which Carmen had planted for the new season. She started very early as a sign of optimism.
The tomatoes have already fruits and the pepino is already blooming.
Carmen was a collector of special tomatoes. I was totally overwhelmed by her collection of about 1700 (!!!) different seeds. It was impossible to chose some. It felt like taking stamps from a stamp collection to send mail. This collection has to go to another collector!
Pepino (Solanum muricatum) is a new one for me. I'm very curious about it :-D
