Sweet Summer Time
We had a number of errands to run in town in the afternoon. But on Saturday morning, with the weather surprisingly cool and breezy and lovely, we took our own sweet time and spent a couple of leisurely hours walking the boardwalk and trails of nearby Black Moshannon State Park.
The sky was just astounding: a background of blue with dramatic puffy white clouds. The colors and reflections were amazing, and I took many pictures. Quite a few of them, with my mouth just sort of hanging open in admiration of the whole scene - yes - it was that kind of sweet summer day.
We watched some people putting little boats into the water: kayaks, canoes. And with the view from where I was standing at the edge of the water being quite jaw-dropping, I can only imagine what it looked like from a tiny boat on its surface!
The soundtrack: REO Speedwagon, Sweet Time, from one of the best albums ever released, Good Trouble. (Yes, I highly recommend it; the album was released in June 1982 - for me, that was the summer between high school and college - and every song on it is GOOD!)
P.S. This picture was not taken using vivid mode. These are the colors that the day wore: blue blue blue and green! (On the other hand, I did photograph a similar scene, also with some amazing clouds, from nearly the very same spot, in vivid mode late last June!)
