Our First Car

This is my proud Dad with our very first family car, a 1959 Austin A30. My Dad looked after it so well, it was immaculate. The Learner plates were for my Mum who eventually took 5 attempts to pass her driving test(!).

We were the envy of our neighbours as you didn't see many cars around our way. You wouldn't say the same now, it's virtually impossible to park in that same road.

By the way, my Dad generally had no shirt on, even well into Autumn!
