Another flowering tree

In St Andrews Square. The cherry was looking at its best, and it's so windy that the petals can't hang on all that long ..

Was on the way to the Edinburgh Book Fair; the vendors had brought their Edinburgh things and had them on display. Lots of Harry Potter, Alisdair Grey; some Iain Banks; some maps and engravings in among the old books. Didn't actually buy anything, though I now have a good list of booksellers from all over the country. 

Came back from the High Street (busy with tourists by 11.00 am) by the Waverly Station back door; went into John Lewis, which had a silicon loaf 'tin'; bought a couple more silicon baking dishes and two mixing bowls. My baking things were mostly donated before we moved; they were 30+ years old, so an update was due. Gradually working towards baking that nut loaf recipe .. 

Had one of our neighbours visit for wine and cheese in the evening.
