Solace Day 7

This is The B-I-L, Kanyl, sat where he often does, at the end of the table, enjoying a cup of tea in a "canal mug". It wouldn't be right not to include a portrait of him on the boat!

The day was dull but dry and we didn't have far to travel. That gave us the opportunity to detour via Tixall Wide, a nice place on the Staffs & Worcs canal where the landowner of old would only give permission for a canal to cross his land if it was dug to look like a lake. He didn't want the view from his banqueting hall to be spoiled.

We arrived back at the marina at 2.30pm and did our house-keeping jobs on the boat.
