Gillingshill Nature Reserve
We drove up to Arncroach this morning and had a walk around the nature reserve. We had it to ourselves, all we could hear was birdsong and the sound of the burn that runs down from the reservoir.
There were daffodils and primroses dotted around, and the blackthorn starting to blossom.
In the afternoon I spent a good couple of hours in the garden digging up a lot more Snow in summer, weeding and moving my birdbath, which is concrete and very heavy. The garden waste bin is full, so it feels satisfying.
It’s been dry all day, and while I was in the garden it felt positively spring like.
