Sprouting forth

Looking with envy at the weather going on across the water. I spoke to my brother early this morning - he was on his turret (!)  with blue sky behind him, and then Will sent photos of him on Glastonbury Tor, also gorgeous. It was also shining in Golden Bay when we caught up with Joe and Esme - Esme having had 13 hours sleep, was bouncing!

Here it's been wall to wall grimness but you can see everything in the garden just loves it and is sprouting forth. Another day spent on this flipping application but I think I am done - ready to do the terrifying job of actually filling in the online form tomorrow. Deadline - 5pm tomorrow!
We both needed a walk so donned the gear and went out. What a nice surprise to find the Heron Gallery has just opened for the season so we enjoyed apple and carrot cake in front of a roaring fire.
