A trio of favourites
A good run / a delicious beer / chips.
The Ghent Half was ace. It was probably the busiest run I’ve ever taken part in which meant lots of elbows and feet and lots of weaving and winding. Hard to get stuck into a good pace but today wasn’t about the time, just enjoying running around a new city. The crowds were spectacular and kept us going, right until the end.
A looooong walk back to my accommodation, which is also a monastery - very cool (I was worried that the breakfast might be meagre to suit the frugality of the brothers, but it was epic).
The rest of the day was spent bumbling around the city, stopping for the odd beer and generally just rejoicing at being somewhere else for a weekend.
