Twisted nature
We walked a couple of miles around Hardcastle Craggs and Gibson Mill today. Locally, the mill reflection shot is on every photographer's must-do list, so it's nice to have been there on a day with clear light, blue sky and fluffy clouds.
I prefer the gnarly twisted tree though: it feels like it's trying to hypnotise me and draw me into its mossy clutches.
Side note: we're on a mission to eat a sausage roll in as many National Trust locations as possible. Today's pork & stuffing offering was a triumph.
A good day out for the camera, and a lovely walk too.
