Birds

More boxes emptied today. The previous incumbents left us a couple of bird feeders, and I found the ones we had brought with us and filled them all up. Today was the first day of my BTO Birdwatch in the new garden. We seem to be getting lots house sparrows, a few dunnock, magpies, wood pigeons, starlings, and collared doves. Haven't had any finches yet and only brief sightings of a blue tit fledgling but it's early days. I caught a hedgehog on the train cam too, which is great. Most exciting is that just up the road, as I mentioned, we have curlews, and today I saw a skylark close by as well as this pipit - I think it's a meadow pipit but not 100% sure.
