Catastrophe

Well, not quite .... but it could have been.  Landscapers noticed a strong smell of gas in our front yard last week.  An hour later the Gas people came and gave us a new meter because the old one was stuffed - but said there was still a gas leak.  

And ... because it's on our side of the fence it's our cost - so we had a hot-water-less weekend, which looks to be extended for at least another day unless the gas plumber can get it sorted before his knock-off time.

Pain in the rear end, but not a lot we can do about it.
