Monde Verde

BB - Sometimes I see a lot in and around the hotel, we stay at the Establo with its extensive beautiful grounds. Coatimundi’s are common, and we come across the armadillo on the way back to our room from the swimming pool. We watch hummingbirds here - and the sunset is stunning.
While in Monteverde we visit the Monteverdi Institute, it’s a research centre, and base for, amongst other things, National Geographic explorers and researchers, interesting, but there’s a pair of emerald toucanets in the grounds, and a lesser violet eared hummingbird that I’m entranced by.
We manage to find time for a quick visit to the butterfly park too
And I almost forgot to mention the huge boa constrictor crossing the road near the hotel reception! (Fortunately slithering away not towards!)
