The Tender Trap

There are six kiosks on Bray seafront and they have been here since 1935. They are tendered out for the season and whoever makes the highest tender gets one. The process is secret so it is not known until the bids are opened who gets  a kiosk. One of the kiosks renters was a favourite with people on the seafront but unfortunately that person lost out to a higher bidder. There are calls for a review of the process but it is hard to think of a fairer way to distibute them out. Here is an article about the tenders.
