Pompeii.

Back blip 4.

We took a day off from the walking today and went sightseeing, firstly to Pompeii and then onto Vesuvius. It was incredible to see the ruins of the city which had been buried under ash and pumice for hundreds of years, and then to actually climb to the crater of the volcano which caused so much devastation. Another fabulous day!
